Come and experience the History, Culture and Food of beautiful Coeur d’Alene, also known as “The Lake City.” Explore our town’s culinary scene and learn the fun and unique history of Coeur d’Alene on this Downtown Walking Food Tour. Over the next 3 hours, we’ll visit 6 of our partner locations where you’ll taste the great food Downtown Coeur d’Alene has to offer.
On the Downtown Food Tour, you’ll taste everything from a Pork Polenta Tart to Bangers and Mash to St. Louis Ribs along with corn Wheels, bread pudding and much more. Food tour tastings make up a substantial lunch portion.
Your local guide will share stories of Coeur d’Alene’s history along the 1.3 mile journey. From the heros of America’s most devastating forest fire, to the returning of a bald eagle to glory, to steamboat battles, to Coeur d’Alene’s original inhabitants, you are sure to be entertained.
You’ll also visit historic sites and city landmarks like Idaho’s oldest existing restaurant and the city’s first schoolhouse. We’ll take a peek at the restoration and growth of Downtown Coeur d’Alene as an up and coming tech location.
All of our tasting partners have been paid & tipped by the Blue Moose in advance, so you can just sit back and enjoy the Coeur d’Liciousness.
The tour will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Coeur d’Alene Chamber of Commerce, 105 N. 1st St., Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814
There will be restrooms available at the starting point, numerous locations along the walking route and at most of the restaurant partner locations.

Our standard adult ticket for the Downtown Coeur d’Alene Food Tour does not include alcohol, but upgrade to the drink package when purchasing your ticket, and you’ll enjoy three adult beverage pairings throughout your tour.
Our food tours include up to 12 guests. Private tours are available for groups of 6 guests and larger.
The Downtown Food Tour includes 7 tastings over 3 hours. We find that this equates to a substantial lunch portion for most.
Yes, advance ticket purchase is required. Events typically sell out quickly. To maximize your chances of getting the date, time, and number of tickets you prefer, please book well in advance.
Our Downton Coeur d’Alene Food Tour includes about 1.3 miles of leisurely walking. A majority of the walking is on flat sidewalks.
